For over twenty years, we’ve been creating original lighting designs with clean, simple lines that blend naturally into your life and interior.
We love wood—all kinds of wood—and we’re constantly searching for species that can enhance light, whether through reflection or transparency.
We believe that seeing a Uphile lamp is a powerful reminder that the forest is fragile, and that the tree—the one that protects life—must itself be loved and protected. We support those who protect the forest.

Gesture and Light
Creating an Uphile lamp means embracing a deliberate and inspired rhythm — a slow unfolding of space born in the mind and revealed through each stroke of a pencil.
Proportions, often guided by the Golden Ratio, tones, grain patterns, and light sources come together in a first creation. That’s when the magic begins — when the creative idea takes form under the hands that cut, sand, refine, and seek the most elegant solutions to bring it to life.
As the piece takes shape, details become sharper, and the forms more defined. It’s not uncommon for new adjustments to arise — a way to satisfy the discerning eye that couldn’t yet see everything on paper.
In our workshop in Brittany, your lamp is conceived and crafted with love and exacting care. It is an author’s piece, without compromise.
We do not mass-produce. Each lamp is made to order, in small batches, based on the availability of wood species and the rhythm of a job well done. Everything is done in-house. Each creation is unique.
