Pavois is a tall table lamp with straight, solemn proportions, rising like a fragment of interior architecture. Its large, vertical format draws the eye — a sculptural presence of light that radiates without ostentation.

The body of the lamp combines a central panel of light wood with front and back panels in a darker wood, playing on the subtle contrast of materials.

Its taut silhouette frames two openwork inserts — either a vibrant woven fabric or a veined ash veneer, depending on the version — which gently filter the light and animate the surface.

Handmade in very limited series, Pavois expresses craftsmanship in its most visible form: a balance of lines, contrast of textures, silent strength. It is placed on a console, sideboard, or low furniture, and emits an adjustable, soft, warm, and elegant light.

The core of the lamp is made of beech, while the front, central, and rear panels can be crafted from various wood species. These openwork panels are available with one of three exclusive woven fabrics, all handwoven in Brittany:

– Pavois Écume, in soft, soothing blue and natural tones.
– Pavois Horizon, vibrant with warm hues — ochre, orange, red — inspired by Breton sunsets.
– Pavois Sable, in cream and light beige shades, for a more neutral and timeless glow.

An alternative version is available with ash veneer (sycamore optional), replacing the central woven insert and backlit for transparency. This variation offers a more mineral and understated expression of light, highlighting the grain and translucency of the wood.

Each Uphile lamp is signed and numbered. Handmade, it can be customised on request in other wood species, sizes, or woven materials.
